Digvijay Singh said lockdown failed

Digvijay Singh former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh highlighted many points related to lockdown impact and by elections related questions posed by many media houses of MP.

He said that under disaster management act and pandemic act however central govt has rights to implement lockdown. But lockdown seems to be failed as not implemented strategically because of lack of confidence with the state governments while commencing the lockdown.

He also said that to combat the pandemic how congress party has taken many triggering measures like opening the kitchen and distributed the food packets to as many people starving from food , distributed the medicines and also taken care of people living in MP which are residents of outside states. Also taken care of students studying in abroad including Ukraine in this critical times by aligning with foreign minister.

He also said that we always followed congress ideology to support needy as much as possible and we did it same in this critical times to reduce influence of pandemic which is not followed by central govt and they converted this non fatal disease to fatal disease in minds of people. He also said that there is no appropriate provision taken for food storage in mandis, also not taken of procurement and payment of food grains and no payment done of fasal bima yojna. Some of the questions answered includes

1. He replied to one of media journalist that the slogan of ” Aapki hisedari meri zimmedaari” is not just a slogan but his way of working by delegating the opportunity and part and taking the responsibility of every party workers and citizens of India.

2 . He also replied to journalist about question of being field master of congress party which he graciously answered that he is just a foot soldier who is always present to implement responsibility given by party leadership.

3. He also replied to one of eminent generalist about anti defection law by saying that this law is brought into existence by Shri Rajiv Gandhi that politician after being elected if leave the party for self opportunity must be kept aside for 6 years for ditching the party as this is phenomena of hypocrisy rather democracy.

4 . He also replied to one of news journalist about sram sudhaar kaanoon that labourers benefits must not be slaughtered as they are suffering most in this times of COVID and they lost employment fully and starving badly.

5. He also caters the importance of mahatma Gandhi manrega benefits which is just a scheme remained with central government brought into existence by Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He said it was brought to give employment to registered workers to work under this scheme who are under BPL. But since nowadays labour intensive work has been reduced deeply who are working in farm so this workers must brought under manrega . Also nowadays during COVID when there is lack of work 7500 rs must be deposited directly in labourers account directly so they would not die due to lack of money and food .

Also he praised chief minister of chattisgarh for great attempt of depositing RS 10000 in labourers account as good initiative which must have to be followed by different states to combat the pandemic economic effects.
In this way digvijay Singh ended the meeting by answering most of the questions my many media houses.
