AADI MAHOTSAV 2017 AT BHOPAL HAAT : Tribal culture gets big boost

The craft bazaar began here from Tuesday is attracting huge crowd and is lauded by art lovers. The festival was inaugurated by Narottam Mishra Minister for Water Resource and Public Relation. Besides, Vishwas Sarang

Minister of State for Cooperation, Ram Vilas Patel and Yashwant Singh Darbar, Directors on the Board of TRIFED were present as guests of honour.

This craft mela is all about handloom material and people of Bhopal explores the various vibrant colours of India. Bhopal Haat is furnished with the cultures of Gujarat, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Madhya

Pradesh, Banaras, West Bengal, Ranchi, Kolkata and Uttar Pradesh.

Amit Bhatnagar, Deputy General Manager TRIFED, New Delhi said that TRIFED works for craft vendors belonging to different tribes and leading a livelihood in different regions of the country. TRIFED often take them on

tours in a group so that they can earn the profit directly by selling their material in any handloom fair in India or overseas. Moreover, the Aadi Mahotsav is a mobile craft bazaar and will be held across the country. Recently it

was held at New Delhi and after Bhopal it will be organized at Dehradun.

All the vendors have brought a range of colours, designs, sizes and qualities. Showcasing the beautiful and unique collection of outfits, jewellery and decorative pieces the exhibition is captivating the attention of Bhopalites.

The women loves to adorn her with wonderful and trendy clothing, this exhibition cum sale has it all.

The people are shopping with great fervor and usually a heavy crowd is noticed in the evenings. Especially, the ladies of the city are more captivated towards the fair as it has got different versions of female stuff. The city of

lakes got embellished with different traditions and cultures of the country under one roof. The response is pretty good.

There was a cultural performance at the haat which was much enjoyed by the Bhopalites.
